Who pays
Drivers of cars, vans, HGVs and buses in both directions. Motorbikes and three-wheelers are free. Southampton residents with a SmartCities card pay a lower rate.
When it applies
All times (the off-peak rate was scrapped on 10 February 2024). No charge on Christmas Day.

Discounts and exemptions
- Southampton residents with a SmartCities card: 40p for Class 2 vehicles
- Disabled concession: free (Class 2)
- Business concessions: 60p (Class 3), £3 (Class 4); licensed taxi concession (Class 3)
- Trailers and caravans count as part of the vehicle (one charge per crossing)
How to pay
Pay at the toll booth: coins (10p, 20p, 50p, £1, £2; no change given), contactless card, or SmartCities card.
